Fun with Aubrey Allen - winner of Burger of the Year
The Big Green Egg was cooking up a storm in Leamington Spa last Thursday night at Victoria House where Aubrey Allen’s best customers were enjoying an evening of delicious food and wine. The evening flew by and many were drawn to the EGG by the excitement of those eating from it – “Cooked to perfection!” seemed to be the recurring theme. It has just been announced that Aubrey Allen have won the Manufacturer Category of ‘England’s Best Burger Challenge 2012′. All 23 companies whose burgers achieved Gold awards in the first round of the competition were tested again in the final rigorous rounds of judging, but it was Aubrey Allen’s coarse cut burger that won in the end.
Hugh Judd, EBLEX foodservice project manager said “This was a particularly flavoursome and succulent burger and they definitely deserved to win this category.” How better to cook an award winning burger than on a Big Green Egg?
